Free Exploratory Session
This is a get acquainted session to assist both of us to determine ability to work together well. The session is no more than 30 minutes. It is an opportunity to ask generalized questions of one another. You will not be pressured to make an appointment. I will make a referral to another therapist if your need is in an area I am not qualified to work in.

Free 30-minute Exploratory Session (by phone or in-person)
Initial Assessment session: $ 105
50-minute face-to-face session: $ 90
30 minute face-to-face session: $ 50 (children only or telephone consult)
90 minute face-to-face session: $ 140
Less than 24 hr cancellation fee: $ 45
Reduced Fee
Financial challenges ought not prevent you or your family from seeking healing through counseling. Reduced fee services are available for individuals who are strongly motivated to change and have limited resources. Please discuss your unique situation with me to see if we can arrive at a solution.
Payment
Cash, check or PayPal payment is expected at the start of each session. You may also choose to pay ahead of your appointment via Pay Pal, see link in side bar of page. You do not need a PayPal account to use PP, standard charge cards are accepted at the site.

Early evening appointments are available.
Cancellation Policy
In good faith, I have set aside time for your appointment. If you do not show up, no one else is able to take advantage of that time, and income is lost. Therefore, if you fail to attend a session without at least 24 hours advance notification, you will be billed for 50% of the cost of the session.
I understand that on occasion there may be an emergency or you may be ill and unable to call 24 hours in advance, and an exception may be made. Please call or have someone else notify us of the situation as soon as you know you will be unable to attend. Text or email notification is acceptable.
Insurance
Everyone loves financial assistance, but when insurance is involved the provider may become the 'client' and their needs and requirements come before yours. Check your co-pay amount, often we can arrive at a fee that is close to your co-pay if not the same. This is a win-win situation in that you will control your therapy, avoid reports going to your insurance provider, and manage your cost effectively.
As a courtesy to you, I will provide you with a monthly or quarterly receipt for professional services that you can send to your insurance company for reimbursement as an out-of-network provider. NOTE: Be sure to check with your provider to see if they reimburse for out-of-network, and if prior approval is needed . I am happy to review this policy with you at any time.
I tailor my approach and am guided by what is in your best interest as determined by you and me. An insurance company requires confidential information to be shared with them and a pathology label or diagnosis attached to you, which may remain in your file and follow you from job to job. I believe it is important for you to decide what therapy you are comfortable with and when you're ready to bring closure to your sessions, not an insurance company.
